Spur-Throated Grasshopper

Common Name: Spur-Throated Grasshopper

Order Name: Orthoptera

Family Name: Acrididea

This Melanoplus grasshopper from the Owens Valley in California was baking in the early morning sun prior to a busy day of plant eating.
